Description

PUMA x HYROX delivers high-performance designs specifically curated for the ultimate fitness race. These running workout shoes are built for stability, grip, and a snappy ride. Featuring NITROFOAM™ cushioning and a stable carbon fiber PWRPLATE, these shoes help you hold your speed through stations.

Key differences between the Puma Deviate Nitro 4 and the Deviate Nitro 4 Hyrox:

  • Outsole and Grip: The HYROX edition replaces or expands the standard road outsole with full-coverage, heavy-duty PUMAGRIP rubber featuring deeper multi-directional and beaded traction lugs. This prevents rubber tearing and provides high friction on indoor turf and gym floors during sled pushes and pull.
  • Foam Tuning: the Nitrofoam midsole is dialled in to be a touch firmer and more supportive than the soft, bouncy formula used on pure road-racing/marathon shoes. This creates a more stable, planted platform under heavy loads during lunges and farmer's carries.
  • Platform Geometry and Stability: The HYROX version uses slightly wider or more flared base geometries in the forefoot and midfoot to improve lateral stability during dynamic, multi-directional gym stations.
  • Upper Reinforcement: The lightweight ULTRAWEAVE upper is reinforced with PWRTAPE technology to increase durability and deliver a tighter, more secure lockdown during side-to-side movements and abrupt stops.
  • Weight and Durability Trade-offs: Because of the extra rubber, structural reinforcements, and denser foam setup, the HYROX edition is slightly heavier and built to withstand the abrasion of gym floors differently than a minimalist road racer.
